Pedal to the metal: Sneek

The Marlog Car Handling team was invited to the open day of Pedal to the Metal in Sneek. On the agenda was a presentation about the Pedal to the metal (drag) racing team and we would be able to get the first glimpse of their custom built racing car

As soon as we arrived at Pedal to the Metal we got a tour of their amazing showroom. The room was filled with cars equipped with the well know V8 engine. Cars like the Chevrolet Camaro, Plymouth Superbird and the Dodge Charger were all present in the showroom. All in mint condition and for sale. At 14:30 we attended a presentation and got a little more insight in the history of drag racing. When we finished the presentation some time later, we enjoyed delicious BBQ. After finishing our dinner and a couple of cold beers it was time that the new car would be presented to us. All 3000HP were waiting to be started.

Friends of team Sponsors were presented before the start. Marlog Car Handling was also mentioned large on the sponsor screen. Finally the time had come, it was time to start that 3000 HP engine! The crew asked us to wear hearing protection because the rumbling of the engine would be very loud! And it was! The violence, it was magnificent. Drag racing is a sport for adrenaline junkies. Just hearing that engine would give every petrolhead an extra boost of adrenaline. It was a great experience for us. Thanks Pedal to the metal for the invite!
