Transport process

Marlog Car Handling can handle the entire process for both imports and exports of vehicles for you. We can tailor the process to your specific wishes and needs.

Delivery at port of exit.

You can deliver the car to the port of exit yourself; alternatively, Marlog Car Handling can arrange delivery for you.

Loading

Marlog Car Handling will then make sure it is loaded into a container and onto the right ship. As soon as we have received your vehicle, including the necessary papers and customs forms, the vehicle will be loaded into a container. Marlog Car Handling works exclusively with experienced and reliable car handlers in the US.

Sea freight

Once your vehicle has been loaded into the container, it will be transported to the appropriate city in the country of your choice (typically Rotterdam). This is done safely and quickly so you can take receipt of the vehicle in perfect condition. We offer competitive rates from virtually any port in the US.

Unloading

Once the container has arrived at the port of Rotterdam, for example, it will be transported to our warehouse in Roosendaal. The task of unloading it is carried out by an experienced team using professional equipment.

Completion

After the vehicle has been unloaded in Roosendaal, it will be cleared through customs and given a Dutch registration number. From the start of 2011, the VAT on imports of classic/antique vehicles went up from 6% to 19%. Marlog Car Handling has a solution which involves clearing your car through customs in France for 7%. This means you incur additional transport costs, but on the other hand you save a huge amount of money in VAT on imports.

Delivery

When the vehicle is ready in Roosendaal, you can choose to have it delivered to your company or arrange for transportation yourself. You will receive a notification the moment your shipment arrives. You have five working days to collect your shipment or have it delivered to you from the date of unloading.

If you have your eye on a vehicle, are on the verge of buying one or have already done so, complete the quotation form on this website or contact us by e-mail or phone.
